Helen Weber Kennedy Gallery

The gallery was built in 1986.  Helen Weber Kennedy was the granddaughter of Stockton's founder, Captain Charles M. Weber.  The gallery was dedicated in her memory by her daughters Helen K. Cahill, Katherine K. Cookson, Moira K. Holden and Geraldine K. Cole.

The furnishings in the gallery are from the early 1850's from Captain Weber's house.  The furniture came from many countries, as did the china, glass, engravings and books which are displayed in a parlor, living room - library and bedroom.

Of particular interest is the branding iron, "Running CW," in use from the beginning and registered with the state until recently, a gold-headed cane, a gift to Charles M. Weber from the "grateful citizens" of Stockton, maps, original wedding certificate of Captain Weber and Helen Murphy Weber, pistols, rifles, Stockton Art pottery, to name but a few.

The gallery also contains a room with furnishings from the dining room of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Micke.
